My first saw-whet owl

[squirl033]

Got my first saw-whet owl on Sunday... had never even seen one before, so this was a real treat. Tiny little fellas, for sure!

Great shot.

They have eluded me so far.

Might be small but look at them talons! Geez, those could pluck your eyeball out in one scoop. Nice shot

Great shot! They are so tiny, I couldn't believe how small they were the first time I saw them. Luckily, the bird banding place near me bands them every night in October so I always run up to get some shots.

Nice shot have spent a few hours in the pouring rain searching for them before with no luck.

It has a jolly look on it's face! Great catch. I do believe this might be my first time hearing of these. Thank you for sharing such a nice pic.
