Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment (good or bad)

#4 is a winner! Too bad you couldn't have shot him when the string lights were on.

I like the idea for #2 but I would have separated him from the background a bit to provide some dog on the wall.

You did a really good job for your first senior shoot! I really like #1 and #4. I would like to see better composition, not so dead center, and some better lighting in the eyes next go round. Other then that I think your gonna have a happy senior!

I only have 1 thing that I see. I think I would nix #2, because those dots on either side of his head make it look like Mickey Mouse ears or something.

thanks for stopping by
i do see the mouse ears now

I didn't see them until Ron pointed them out. lol. I love the backgrounds, I may have wanted to see tighter shots if I were his mother and buying the prints, but I agree that they are nice!

Nice DoF.
All look to need some local sharpening and other post processing in the facial mask.

Use of light has some issues.
Dark eye sockets (raccoon eyes) in all but 1 (the last).

To many 'shoulders square to the camera' poses (football player pose).

Pretty much the usual cliché locations and poses most high school seniors photos have.

generally straight toward the lens is not that flattering, maybe if youre far away its fine. have a great year.

KMH, no offense, but your edit looks horrific. Sharpening overdone imo.

#4 is fantastic! I also like #6. I agree about the "mouse ears" though I didn't notice it at first. Maybe clone it out ?

I agree. It kind of makes his face look like it's been artificially aged.

And when did this kind of senior picture become a thing? What ever happened to showing up in the gym, putting on a blue drape and being handed a flower, being told to keep turning your head until you think it's going to snap off, and then seeing your horrible picture in the yearbook 6 months later? Now I just feel old.

I think Mom should be pretty happy with these. Since he's a guy I'm not seeing how the football player shoulders is a bad. Ok yes it is generally unflattering but since its not accentuating any undesirable characteristics I see no problem. Have to agree on #2 and the mickey ears with the graffiti. Be careful of little details like that and shoot on my friend.

Sorry Keith have to agree your edit looks over sharp to me too.

I like them. I haven't taken Senior pics. I got a few sessions in Oct..

Senior pictures aren't what they were in my day. Now, Different locations and several outfit changes. I received an invitation of my niece, and it had a collage on it. Several photos were Very sexy!

Times sure have changed.

I also liked #4. Easy on the vignette though.

I have to agree. I also thought that shot was just a bit soft, mostly due to how the site resizes photos, but the edit was not an improvement. No offense.
