These are my first traditional black and whites... These shots were just the "waste my film" shots... But the good shots don't look so great.

Taken on Ilford HP5 Plus.

I like the last one, very sixtyish style. The 1960's that is.

Yeah actually it's a very Larry Fink style of exposure - strong flash (albeit without the huge shadows and odd angles) but it's not to the Weegee point of flash. I would stay away from that at the beginning though, just so you can get a feel for how natural or ambient light affects the exposure.
