My first try at candid people photography

[ohbearded1]

Went to a small local flea market and snapped a few shots. Please let me know what you think.

I might be wrong but don't you need a model release form or have peoples permission before you post pictures of them on the Internet that they don't know about?

Short answer is No, model releases protect the publisher of the picture.

Long answer is worth searching for, it's been discussed to death here.

The very short legal answer is "no reasonable expectation of privacy". You are in a public place, not in the bathroom or changing room, I can take all the photos or video I want and do whatever I want with it.

I really enjoyed looking at these. I <3 street photography/candid pictures and I think you did a great job =)

I happened to be chatting with my mom on the phone while reading this post, and I asked her this question as she is a lawyer. Mr. Pink's response is spot on.

Thanks for the compliment Underthepink and glad we could clear up the confusion of this subject for anyone stumbling into this thread.

Thanks, nice way to sum it up.

It would seem that all flea markets attract the same type of people...

In number 1 I think those lights are a line that draw the eye into the guy.
