The "as they were" setting seemed to be the right ones. Looks like a well exposed crisp image.

Thank you. The settings were AUTO ISO (ISO-160), f/6.3, 1/800 sec, 0 step @ 600 mm, h.h. I feel I got lucky.

Cute little fellow. I don't see anything wrong with that shot. I pulled it in on my desktop computer and it was still clear. Nice job.

Thank you, but didn't have time to lay down, just dropped to one knee and get the shot. I was on a retaining wall a few feet above the water also.
