My Friend's Eye

Looking for some critique and comments. I'm still quote a novice at this, but will be pursuing a degree in photography at the Art Institute of Indianapolis.

I'm not a big fan of selective colour, but I kind alike this one. Not sure how I feel about the reflection bisecting the eye, I think all in or all out of the reflection would've been better. The shot is nice and sharp.

(Oh, and I'm a total newb so take the above with a grain of salt)

Yeah I would mostly agree with Jeffo ^^ Selective colouring (especially eyes) can be a bit cliche; and the reflection is a bit distracting. But (other than the reflection...) the composition is nice. I like the way the eyebrow fit in and the way the frame cuts out of the frame.

Maybe next time try adding what he is looking at into the composition. If you used something that was interesting and was a similar subject matter and moved the reflection I would like it more!
