I've experimented with similar shots... my feelings are mixed. Here's an example.

I like the texture, lighthing... and the angle is different but something about it just leaves me thinking "ehh".

I know exactly what you mean, this is actually the first architectural shot I've taken. I've seen a lot better (than my shot that is) lol
