Very cute expression I would crop tighter to get the distracting stuff out of the way and boost the contrast a bit more Next time you could consider shooting with a more shallow aperture for better bokeh.

A very lovely little girl. Good expression good focus.

Very much agree with the cropping issue.

IMO, the undoing here is the flash on camera, the light is reflected off of her smooth skin and has gotten absorbed by her dark hair, giving a picture where the shadows are blocked up and the highlights don't have any real texture.

Flash on camera kills most pictures unless it is used as fill to balance shadows from natural light. Here it has killed all the skin texture and made a deep shadow under the chin.

She's beautiful and you will get many great pix in the future.

I think the contrast and cropped version did a lot for this picture... Upping the contrast really made her eyes shine! It's coming along
