Over the past year, or so, I have added portrait work to my resume. It's a lot of fun, and a always a great challenge. I love a challenge.

Anyhow, here are some images from a shoot I did last Friday with a very energetic 13-year-old (yes, mom was present during the shoot–I require it for underage models). Enjoy!

I shot these in my garage. I am using JTL monolights with 30"X30" lightboxes, and a homemade softbox

I positioned one of the jtl w/ a manufactured softbox directly over top of one another, a JTL with barndoor was positioned to the camera-right side of the model on most shots. The 2nd shot was only the homemade softbox above and a windshield sunshield to bounce some light under her chin. I am shooting with my new Fuji S5 Pro and a basic Nikkor 28-80mm D lens.

btw, does Guinness still brew Bréo? I had it when I travelled Ireland in 2000, it was so yummy!
