What's new

My new born and puppy.(c+c)

The newborn shorts are underexposed and overly warm. The puppy shots are much better, but the background is distracting. Although i like the composition of the third shot.

C&C per req:

1. I see what you were going for (I think), but your composition is just too tight. A good guideline (especially for those new to photography) is to compose th eimage in your viewfinder and then open it up a little (zoom out/move back). The image is just a little under-exposed and there are some distracting blue reflections on the sole of the foot. Try and avoid cutting limbs or appendages.

2. Again, slightly under-exposed and some tight composition/croping issues.

3 & 4. Both nicely illuminated (You could make the face a little brighter if you wanted to), but as with the child images, you've cropped too tightly and poor Fido is missing paws cheeks. These two images also highlight the one, single factor, which, IMO, often makes the biggest difference between snapshots and photographs: The background in both of these is busy and distracting and really takes away from the image.

Keep shooting and keep posting!

Just my $00.02 worth - your mileage may vary.

I initially read "newborn puppy" 0.0

#2 and #3 are my favorites,

#1 (imo) it seems like the baby should be the subject, not the foot
#4 boring composition really, I liked the previous one because it showed more of the dog, and it had a thoughtful expression on its face
