I ran across this old camera while digging around in storage, and figured I'd play with it for Panos. It's 6.1 MP images make the Panoramas a reasonable size after stitching. I thought it worked pretty well! There's people on the internet who swear by the color produced by this sensor.

Nice job. Are you using a tripod or hand holding?
I loved my D40 - had it for over ten years before getting the D750. The D40 has a rather high sync speed (1/250, I think). I'm eventually going to have mine (my youngest son's, really - I gave mine to the oldest so) converted to IR or full spectrum.

Thanks! Just handholding for this test. It's working out pretty well, it's light and cheap. If it ends up in the water I won't be too upset ;)
