My new Pelican 1510 case

Not enough room but it will do as a carry-on luggage, 2 cameras 4 lenses, 2 extra lithium batteries, 16 AAA batteries, 4 Pocket Wizards, flash gels, color correction tools. It's about 35 lbs and I still need to leave a few things home.

If you want to save your back, check out the Pelican iM2500. It's specifically designed to be airline "carry on" size, but it has wheels and an extending handle... just like most luggage, except it's the hard-shell water tight typical Pelican case quality. So far I have three of them (although I use those particular cases for astronomy gear and not my camera gear.)

If you use the divider set, the space can be used more efficiently. Here's an old picture of my 1510 packed full:

If you are flying, its easy to pack to the point of being overweight as a carry on. So keep that in mind.

I have of of these that I use to tote my Bronca and Canon A1. It's plenty sturdy and offers plenty of protection against against all but the most sever situations.

I just looked it up. It looks like it might be a new product. The iM2500 case has a link to the 1510 which says it's a very close in size (the dimensions are nearly the same... the iM2500 is fractionally longer and wider, but just a tiny less deep.) I never could figure out the difference between the "Storm" case line and the rest of the line because they all claim to be weather sealed.

Never knew about the iM2500 until you mentioned it. After purchasing the 1510 (i'm guessing 5 years ago), I never had a need that wasn't met by this case.

The 1510 conforms to carry-on size requirements. Does the iM2500?
