My Niece and a Flower up for C&C

This is my oldest niece who is visiting from Ohio. First thing I notice is the branch by her her makes it look like the leaf is coming ot of her head and maybe it could use a bump in contrast?

And now for the flower. Two things I notice here is I cut the very tip of one of the petals off and the leaf in the upper right hand conner is kind of distracting.

And a bonus one of my oldest daughter. Overall I like it bt the biggest thing I notice is not enough light on the eyes kind of have the raccoon thing going on.

Both #1 and #3, both the females, have the same problem. The faces are too deep in shadow and there is little detail, contrast or sharpness.
The flower is overexposed and the whites are burnt out and the colors are oversaturated.
