I figured since he is of Russian, Polish & German descent (the family has been in the United States since 1899); in other words "Eastern European" looking, the Soviet hat was a natural fit...but he contributed with the eye patch & the record player he just bought at a garage sale last weekend from our neighbor! lol

@smoke665 he is loads of fun to be with...when i first met him, he was bigger than life (age 69/70) but now at 78 his age is sadly starting to catch up with him...
