Hi, my name is Gilchan from South Korea and I am a working holiday maker. To save up some money for getting closer to my dream, I am currently working in Sydney, Australia.

In this thread I am going to keep posting photos that I have taken and am going to take. Any comments are welcome and hope you like my amateur photos. :D

I like the last one. Perhaps it would have worked better in portrait though?

Thanks for the comment and I knew someone would bring this up.

I am obsessed with the 16:9 landscape ratio. Since I got my LX3, my photos have been all in 16:9. Kind of silly, but I cannot help.

Humble beginnings.....can't go wrong with that Leica lens.

I started on a point and shoot and graduated to a digital SLR, I still keep the P+S in the bag though. It's a Canon Powershot A640.

Couple images could use some sharpening, other than that......not too bad

If you like clouds, come to Florida in the summertime, we have some pretty impressive thunderstorms, great for lightning photography if you have the equipment, patience and mosquito spray.

I really like that photo with the bridge, it's marvellous.

Thanks for the feedback, j-dogg. :D

I got myself a LX3 as a present last year. After I broke up with my ex-girlfriend, I felt I needed to have something with me.

The reason I chose LX3 is simply because it (still) is a very good camera for 16:9 photos. I know that my LX3 cannot outperform Canon or Nikon digital SLRs in many aspects, but LX3 is good enough for me to capture the moments that I love to keep.

If I have a child in the future, I would like to give my LX3 as a birthday present. In the meantime, I am going to get a mini d-SLR like a PEN of Olympus.

Very tempting. I think I must visit Florida. By the way, I am planning to go to America next year to get a training to be a watchmaker. (My dream is to be an independent watchmaker.) I might have a chance to visit Florida. :)

Just make sure when you come here to send me a message. I know all the good locations to shoot, you can do all the tourist crap in a couple days. The real Florida is in the middle of the state.

I wanna embed my emotions in my photos. I wanna take photos that can make me cry.

You have really good shots, I specially like the second one on post #3. I do believe you should try shooting a bit more in portait :D
