I experimented with physiograms 20 years ago on films. Recently i made these with a DSLR (Pentax K30). When great care is taken to make the pendulum light swing perfectly, then lines can only be perfectly spaced. With a little imagination, a lot can be done to make each picture different.
Here, a kleenex single layer was put over the light to diffuse it a lot. + negative colours
Croping only a small portion of a huge soso physiogram opens many possiblities
A raw physiogram. Maybe boring but the lines perfection make it interesting
With a blinking LED and the Emboss filter
With a Chrome Filter, the lines get a realistic metalic look
Camera on a DIY turntable and edited with a Glow filter
and here an overdone line enhancement filter.
