My recent visit to a rural Thai village

i recently went to a very quaint and special village in the mountains north of Thailand. The village has 8 homes and was literally in the middle of nowhere, i spent a night there in one of their homes and obviously managed to get some shots while i was at it! Let me know what you think.

I like the set, a really nice story. Especially 4, the bokeh and the lighting are perfect for the pic!

I like the pictures but think that they would profit from a little editing. The contrast seems a bit harsh and the framing is, imo, not optimal.
If these were shot in raw, I would suggest going back and seeing if there is data in the blown areas.

I like the emotional impact in these shots. But I'm bothered by the framing and cut limbs.

#1: Cut fingers - crop more or crop less.
#2: What's she doing with her left hand? It's out of the frame.
#3: Cut foot in foreground makes the image feel too tight.
#4: That bit of bare arm - crop it or include more, imo.

Okay, I'm being rather strongly critical, perhaps. Overall, these photos nicely convey a rural Thai scene. I very much like the feeling from #2 and her expression. I just wish I knew why she is smiling - for the camera or is she talking with someone we cannot see?
