We visited the Black Canyon just east of Montrose, CO before headed over Monark Pass... We were hailed, rained, and snowed on all in one day, LOL... only in CO.

1. It was hailing as I took this picture.

3. The big wall on the right is called Painted Wall and is about a 2000 ft. drop to the bottom of the canyon.

If you realize what you don't like about them please comment...

OMG, what incredible scenery!! I like how much detail in the far-off hills/mountains you were able to get, despite the hail and 'fog', in that first shot. The stark scenery and those great clouds really make #2 stand out. And that last panorama is lovely, with the dark clouds and the sun shining on some of the snowcapped peaks.

as i was scrolling i was trying to pick a favorite, it went something like this...

i love 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 and the panos!

i dislike #5, it just doesnt have enough colors in it for me. the shot feels flat to me, idk.

Thanks for the comments ladies! I'll take another look at #5 and see if I can improve it.

#2 & #4 are my favs! :sillysmi:

IMO something seems off on both #5 & #7... maybe the angle & the lack of horizon... and #7 seems washed out... I'd say #7 is my least fav.

Very nice series. Beautiful country. Having to expose for the bright skies, dulls the foreground on a few, nothing serious. It looks like you put some effort into getting yourself in the right place to take most of these for sure. Well done.

Wow, those are great. I had no idea Colorado's terrain looked like that. I never would have guessed #1 was from the U.S., let alone Colorado!

Good detail and lighting.

Those are great. The last one with those thick clouds is awesome! (of course they all are)
