You should also brighten the exposure a bit. His face needs more light, and it will make the tree pop more.

Got around to making a few adjustments...brightened a little...cloned out dandelion and a couple facial scratches...

I was going to say the same thing .. something with the eyes are strange ... but the color and brightness looks much better. I am also not using a calibrated monitor .. (on my laptop) .. so that could be it as well.

lol could it be that people dont have pupils like cats? Round them out and darken the entire iris, its too much. I think your focus was a bit further back than his eyes.

And as long as he knows you wish to see him more than you are able to, should mean a lot to both of you. That's hard for sure, when you try to be there and are arent allowed to.

The edit seems a bit too bright to me.

now that I am on a Calibrated monitor .. the edit is too bright .. and yes fix the eyes .. .. the first picture would look good with more contrast .. maybe somthing like this ..

Now it looks a tad too dark...his eyes are darker than they should be...where is this happy medium? Aaaargh matey!Oh well...I see what you all mean...I will try to do better next time.I hope he realizes that I'm not in his life not because I don't want to be a figure in his life but because sometimes poop happens. I fought the good battle to the point that there was no where further to go without plowing thousands of dollars down for legal aide. Some people say things that other people take to heart. The state seems to love this stuff as it gives their social workers something to do. I'll wait until they are old enough that the courts can't hold them back...

I thought your edit was better, however the "clone" repair is blurry and cuts out his shoulder line. I think the eyes look better on the second photo - not sure there is anything wrong with them.
