WhyNotMe - please remember that the Beginners subsection isn't just for the random posting of galleries and photos, but for specific feedback and help with specific photos. If you want people to give their insight into your work you've got to put in the effort first to select a few (1-5) and post them into the thread. Posting additional details such as the camera used, settings, equipment, conditions and what you wanted etc... is also of great help for getting feedback (the criqiue link in my sig will give more insight into ideas).

If you are simply looking for a place to upload images to share with family and friends, then look at sites like Flickr and Smugmug. A basic account in Flickr is free: Welcome to Flickr - Photo Sharing and: Photo Sharing. Your Photos Look Better Here. | SmugMug does have a "Basic" charge. I have a Flickr account and I use it to share images from my travel with my friends and family.
