Hi guys,

A friend of mine wants to do some design work using a photography technique, but isn't familiar with the name of the technique and therefore feels like he can't look it up to find more info on it... blah blah blah.

Anyway, it's that technique you may have used in your intro to photography. The end result is a black and white (maybe dark blue and white?) photo of things like keys, buttons, coins, etc. Just the outline shows on them. Sorta looks like those pages that you probably set things on and then put in the sun and it changes color. ...

Any help much appreciated! Thanks!

A photogram is an image formed on photo paper by placing object directly on the paper and exposing it to light.

The blue and white pics that are similarly made except using the sun are photograms made with cyanotype paper.

Thanks for your help guys, I'm sure my friend will be quite happy to hear...

Kim
