What bothers me the most is the obvious fakery on the eye color.
I've seen this technique before...this is an okay rendition of it, but I think there's just a tad bit too much space on the left. What bothers me the most is the obvious fakery on the eye color. You've done a very good job of focusing and portraying her in the neo-realism style (also known as hyper-realism by some).

I actually think it's kind of cool. I'm guessing it's just an artifact of trying to boost the lip color.

Most everyone that see this picture likes the eyes and that is normally one of the first things that they say they like. It's just a different taste in preference![]()

I didn't really notice the lips being two different colors
Thanks! She's my little sister![]()
Derrel said:Sure, some people will like the eyes...it's just that the style of neo-realism depends on showing the "reality" of the subject, in sharp, clear, intense detail--which you do...we can see all the little imperfections, the hair in minute detail...but then the eyeballs are clearly faked...and that works against the rest of the photo. Some people also like the food at Arby's...and think Jersey Shore is a good TV show...so there's little accounting for taste.
i think you got it pretty close, i like it. the hair definitely needed to be cloned out but by doing that it seems to have exposed a small mark below her lip. it's subtle but still somewhat distracting. id say soften that up a little. but otherwise GREAT shot!
