natural light reflecting on pool

It appears my wife and I will limited to shooting from the stands during my son's college swim meets. Talked to the coach, but he did not seem interested in having photos taken during meets. He did say we were given a nice unsolicited reference. The stands are 10' to 12' above pool level and look directly into a bank of floor to ceiling windows. Shot an alumni vs the swim team meet a couple weeks ago and was able to some nice action shots, but there was also a strong reflection from the windows in many of the photos. Any advice to eliminate the reflection would be appreciated.

This lane was very close to the windows.

Cropping tight with the camera seemed to help some as well as shooting at the far end of the pool just before the swimmers turned.

The glare from the reflections is just annoying.

Do you have a polarizing filter? This really has the potential to help cut glare. I shot some swimming in a similar setup to what you are describing and this really helped.
