I think the third crop made a huge difference. The sunlite foreground was too distracting. The second still had the uneven light and lacked an element to make it interesting.

I think it's the height of the trees on the third crop making the picture to appear even more vertical, kinda like pin stripe suites to make a person appear taller and thiner.
