I time what period of the Spring season we're in by what's blooming. Right now the witch hazel and crocuses are long gone and the magnolias dropped their petals this past week. Yesterday the quince apple in our back yard is in full bloom. The flowers are a lovely color but unfortunately their blooming is a harbinger of lawn mowing -- here we go again.
