ND filters for landscapes?

I just purchased the filter holder, lens adapter, extra slots and a a 105mm polarizer adapter ring all for $85 from The Filter Dude. All he sells is the hardware no filters. Works great with Lee filters. Then over time and budget I'll add the filters. I purchased a couple grad Lee filters and a Little Stopper (no color cast) just to start. I also found some LNIB Lee filters in Craig's List for under $100.

Thanks again for everyone's help, much appreciated! I'll probably get something like the Formatt or Cokin P system filters. Would a third party wide angle filter adapter prevent the vignetting on a 24mm lens?

What size holder is best for 17mm?
