Need a critique on a flower

In my opinion..

I like the two colors, they work well. However, You cut off a petal and the centered composition doesn't work. The oversaturated background is brighter than the subject, and thus, the first thing your eye goes to when you see the image, is the green glow in the dark leaves. They have tonal block too, which hurts detail.

I'm not sure what the grey thing is, concrete? nonetheless, it's distracting.

This would have been a good example where fill flash would have made this image alot better. The flash would reduce the contrast and you should have been able to fit the whole tonal range in it, without giving it that direct flash look.

im not too sure what the gray thing in the background is but I see what you mean

if my memory serves me right I didnt even use a flash on this
