Need advice on editing software

I am wanting to edit pictures. For example, my maid of honor is in a lot of my wedding pictures during the ceremony. I wanted the pictures to just show my husband and I. Can I do this with photoshop elements? Is it really hard? I always want to be able to change heads or at least eyes like on the windows 7 commercial. Also sometimes I get stuff in the background that I don't like, like stuff on the endtables. I can't crop without taking off part of someone's head or body. Thanks in advance for the help!

You can; it may be a lot of work depending the image, and what you want removed. Go through the Help Files or Google "Clone tool" and/or "Cloning".

I'm not sure how powerful elements is as I have never used it....sounds like a job for photoshop for me..

Photoshop Elements is the consumer version of Photoshop CS.

I don't find Elements that great. Nice for some things but not image editing so much. I use photoshop 7, Corel's PhotoIMpact 11, and some of the "Topaz" plug-ins.
