Need help bigma 50-500mm os or non ?

Hi friends
I am passionate photographer And willing to buy a bigma 50-500mm lens....i m really confused that should i buy a os model lens or without os...
The question that came to my mind were :
1. Non os is cheaper than os version...should i be spending that much just for os ???
2. It is quite a heavy lens anyways one would need a tripod to click...then why to go for os version ???

I assume your looking at the 50-500 because you want the 500... I don't know anything about you skills at holding a camera, so I'm going to generalize. If you need to be mobile and don't want to rely on a tripod get the OS. If you plan to stick to one spot and use a tripod and mobility isn't issue the go with out the OS. I've carried one all day around and an airshow once, it's not that heavy. Honestly if you're going to spend a lot of money (the non OS sure ain't cheap) on a lens, buy the one that will limit you less and you'll use it more.

As said above. When not using a tripod it can be quite cumbersome. I have the bigma 150-500 and am glad I it has os. It's worth the extra money in my opinion.

If you will always be on a tripod, then it's probably not a problem. However if you are on a monopod or hand holding you'll want that OS. I think I'd probably want it on that long a lens. I rarely use it on my 70-200, but at 500mm there is a lot more shake to be had.
