Need help fixing my Manfrotto Pan & Tilt Head #160

Hi there

I bought this used and the safety mechanism appears broken (circled in red). The gold pin that should spring up/down seems to be stuck in place. Any suggestions how to fix this? Thanks!

I would try disassembling the head as far as possible and putting it into a good ultrasonic cleaner.

Hopefully, you've disassembled the QR plate catch. It's missing if the 160 came to you like that. That brass pin is spring-loaded, right?
