Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Sorry....total newb here who wants to post some pics for C&C. I'm sure I've just missed it, but can someone point me in the right direction for how, exactly, I downsize my photos properly so that I can post them here? I know that the dimensions have to be no more than 600 pixels high and 800 wide, but getting there is another story.......

Just FYI, I am using PSE 9.0 and not an internet site (such as flickr).....I did try and what I ended up with was an image in my PSE editor window that was about the size of a postage stamp.....is this correct??

Thanks in advance for any help and sorry if I'm asking this question around here for the 978th time........

;)

Look, I know it's a dorky question. I'll make it up to the forum somehow, I promise. And, if I can get these photos posted, maybe you'll like 'em?

Any takers?

You open the photo in the PsE 9 Edit workspace,
Make a copy of the photo. Change the size of the copy, not the original. Close the original.
At the top left of the workspace Click on Image > Resize > Image Size and that opens the Image size dialog box.

At the bottom be sure there is a check mark in the 'Constrain Proportions ' check box, and the a check mark in the 'Resample Image' check box.

Back up in the 'Pixel Dimensions' portion of the dialog box make sure it is set to 'Pixels' (not percent). Change the bigger number to 800, the smaller number will cjane to prevent your photo from being distored.

Click on OK. Click on File > Save As > and rename the photo so you know it's a smaller sized version of the original.

When you want to learn how to do something with your PsE 9. Open it to the edit workspace, at the top left click on Help > Photoshop Elements Help. Adobe has a bunch of tutorials available for you.

Thank you KmH.....just what I needed. Most appreciated!
