Need help with lens for Nikon D90

I am going to buy a Nikon D90 and don't have much $ for lens. Here are some options:
1. On B&H, the Nikon 18-200mm has a $250 off discount when purchased together with the body. So the body costs 750, and the len costs 550. This len can cover from wide angle to telephoto. My budget is about $1500. Shall I go for it?
2. Nike kit lens
3. Nikon 50mm f1.4 is also a wonderful choice too.
4. Any other suggestion?

The Nikon 50mm F1.8D is also a good choice for a prime lens, and cheaper too.
