Interesting piece..... The Pentax MF with half -frame was built around 1977. It's purpose was scientific application used in hospitals and research. The camera has its own lens with K mount fitting ( it has some similarities as a microscope lens). The view thru the viewer shows a round image. There is also a MF-1, which is a full frame.
As to the strap this camera was made to just be mounted and never carried by a strap.
