Need some input.. Please.

I'm a teacher and every year our school has a volunteer reception to thank the volunteers for their hard work. During the reception they have a raffle and give away different prizes. I was approached by one of the members of the committee asking if I would be willing to do a family shoot as one of the prizes. I am not in business and don't plan on doing it as a business. I have been doing pictures for many of the teachers at my school so I could get some practice..I never charge. There's no money involved in all this. I wouldn't put my self out there as a professional photographer..Just someone who enjoys photography. I don't know.. I told her I had to think about it..It's something I never expected them to ask me. I figured I'd ask here since this group will tell it like it is...

Honestly, if you feel hesitant about doing it, than I would suggest that you don't.

Regardless of whether you are charging for the shoot or not, it will be presented as a 'professional" shoot simply because it is a prize. And if you are unable to give the winner what they are expecting, then that's bad PR- not just for you, but for the school too.
