Seems he took the pics with a D70 and Sigma 10-20mm & Nikkor 28-105mm
Looking round that post - looks like the guy has been like everywhere...
He got upwards of 80 comments in the post... looks like they were mostly favourable by the smiley and fireworks icons...
I need to practice more,,,

He also used a ton of post processing and multilayer sharpening, skin smoothing and well as some tone mapping techniques.

He used Photoshop 7 for that.

Still nice pics, though!
