Beautiful scene, looks just like where I go walking. Love the first 2, is #3 leaning a little to the left ?

nice, I found one as well, the male stands guard and chases off blue winged teal when they get too close.

It looks like it's leaning quite a bit actually. Funny I didn't catch that as it is usually the first thing I look for in post. Will fix.

Very nice and you'll have to go back and get some shots of the young! Lee

Taken a ton of Canada geese shots, but never seen them doing this. Great to see and well taken. Makes for a fine series and enjoyable viewing. Next year I must keep my eyes open for this behaviour. Well done.

All the best.

Danny.

Thanks all!
Probably a dumb question, but are there Canadas in the southern hemisphere.

There sure are ;) They would have found their way here on a migratory path and have made New Zealand home as well. We now as a sad thing, have to cull them back. Far too many Canada geese and black swans. They take a huge toll on the farmers and our native birds with over population. Its a shame, because I love them, but we do need to keep their numbers down Brian.

So from NZ Canada geese ....

All the best Brian and love the nesting shots, excellent to see.

I actually was attacked by a guarding male yesterday!
