There must be something in the water...I just got my Nikon 50mm 1.8 today also!!! Though I don't have any pics as I didn't charge the battery.

Going to get the base for the xti tomorrow that holds 2 of em and going have a total of 6 batteries when im done. And gratz on the 50mm

looks about a full stop underexposed.

Yeah, definitely underexposed. Go for a similar shot, just give yourself a longer exposure.

I have always been fond of the darker images. Gives me a feeling of mystery. The light areas jive just enough to keep you guessing....

OK! that makes sense, however, possibly a more intriguing way to accomplish that is using specular lights and creating sharp shadows that shroud the important parts (at least the eyes).
