I like the first one, it communicates the children love for trains. The blown out part unfortunately ruins it a little.
Next time (there will be a next time) try to have the boy slightly turned, to see not only hairs but at least a little of the face...

It's always too tempting to shoot wide open when you get your first fast prime lens, but shots like #3 have no business leaving half the subject out of focus.

^^ agreed, i picked up a Nikon 50mm 1.8 the other day and its so so tempting to leave at 1.8 but you get areas unfocused that should focused. I like #2 pretty interesting shot

It's hard to get a 2 year old to cooperate for pictures when they are excited. I also don't want to far out of reach standing next to the edge of the platform, muchless when the train is coming. I'll try again.

I was hopeing to get all the fries but I'm still figuring out the DOF with this lens. I had a hard enough time getting my family to quit eating the fries long enough to get this picture. Thanks for the advice, I'll have to go back to get the fries again, I mean to take the picture again.
