Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I was bored and did this, what do you guys think? C&C Please :)

Originals:

Edit:

Needs more contrast or darker blacks.

I like the originals better.

Honestly? I prefer the original edits.

-For these particular shots I prefer the landscape orientations.
--For the ones in which she is looking at the camera, the landscape orientation places her off center, which is more interesting than the centered positioning of the portrait orientation. The portrait orientation version, if cropped even tighter, would be a nice portrait capture.
--For the ones in which she is looking up into the tree, she is almost an afterthought...to me the more eye-catching subject is the tree itself. The landscape orientation shows much more of the interesting limbs, branches, and twigs of the tree than does the portrait orientation.

-There isn't as much contrast in the B&W versions as I would like to see. Admittedly it might be tough to create contrast from these particular images. It looks like the light was flat that day. The images are predominantly white, between the snow, the tree bark, and her sweater. Even her hair and skin tone are close enough to each other to be close when converted to greyscale. The only element that really contrasts right now is the scarf. You can probably create some nice contrast, but through dodging/burning and using masks rather than image-wide modifications of levels, etc.
-As for the color versions, at first glance I thought there was a bit too much of a yellow cast to the images and was going to suggest tweaking the white balance. But the more I look at them the better I like the warmth to them, it works really well with her red hair and skin tone.

The originals. I agree the B&W conversions lack contrast, good white or black points.

While you're editing, you might fix the white balance in the originals.

Instead of making a new thread, i'll just bump this one!

I'm pretty stoked on how this turned out :) C&C is welcome!

I feel since you took the time to clone out the pole from behind the car, you could have taken out the pole on the right as well.

I like it though, but is it me or does it seem like in the edited version it seems a bit OOF?

i love thevery first pic. the white snow goes great w her hair and the blue scarf. If that was my gf Id totally frame it.

I like your originals more then the edits! Nice shots!

The B&W car, I like how you edited out the pole behind it, but I think you need to bump up the contrast. It looks a bit faded to me, IMO.

i like the originals better... i'd have to say though the originals seem unnaturally warm...

I agree with Syphlix the originals are good but they are a little warm .

You do not specify if it is ok to edit your photos.

If you dont mind letting me take a crack at this one it could probably be useful to see the potential.

haha yeah, I didn't even notice the pole on the right till I was done :grumpy:

I don't think it's just you! This was my first shoot with my cam, so i'm sure the car is a little OOF
Loving the stance on the Suby! specs ?

Great pictures, like Genka81 said. Great call on moving the pole out the way and changing it to black and white.
Thanks man! I think he is on Stance GR+ Coilovers. He is lower now though

Thanks guys :) The 'Originals' have some yellow and blue split toning on them, so they aren't straight from the cam.
