Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Hi, I'm Tam from Seattle. I've been doing photography as a hobby off-and-on for the past few years, and I've recently picked it back up. Just wanted to introduce myself and post some of my pictures... I'd love to get your comments and suggestions. Thanks!

You'll get better feedback if you post less pictures,
and number them.

1. What's your target here? The building? The flowers? It feels too busy, too many things to look at. If you were aiming for the flowers try getting low to the ground and look for interesting backgrounds.
2. Not really sure what can be done with this one to improve to be honest. Personally nothing pops out at me as interesting, other than the slight symmetry of the scene.
3. I am usually not a huge fan of B&W but this works for me. I like the angle. I think it would be really awesome if someone was praying to bring some emotion into the picture.
4. This one doesn't work for me in B&W.
5. I'll admit I don't know much about photographing fish. My initial impression is that it feels too bright and not natural, but take that with a grain of salt.

I like the first one. Your sensor /lens could do with a clean.

1) Too busy. Assuming the flowers were your intended subject, the background is way to distracting. Since your out at day light, use a larger aperture and and faster shutter speed, along with getting closer (focally or physically) to your subject. This will blur out the background and draw the attention back to the flowers, making them pop out.
2) There really is no obvious subject here, which causes your eyes to just wander.
3) The various angles and lines make this one work well. Easily the best out of the bunch IMO. The lighting plays very well off of the finished wood.
4) This one again feels like it has no subject, or better yet, too many subjects. Pillars, benches, man reading, buildings, its overwhelming. Try to decide what your subject is in a shot before shooting it, it will allow you to better frame and expose the photo to benefit that subject. After all, you wouldn't right a novel with out a character, would you.
5) As far as shooting fish goes, I'm clueless. The only thing I can say is the one fish in the background sort of looks like hes dead. That's all I can think when I look at it.
