Added an SB-700 to my equipment, Merry Christmas to me! I'm going out with a friend tomorrow to test it out, any articles and tips that I could read up on. Instead of learning by trial and error!

I think you should get some sort of light diffuser and a light stand, then play with OCF.

Reading and understanding the information in the user's manual will help eliminate a lot of trial and error.

People have repeatedly posted www.planetneil.com as a good online source for on camera flash use info.

If I read it correctly, the SB700 has an optical slave mode (SU4) and you should be able to activate it wirelessly using another flash.

I was playing around, I was able to use SU4, with my on camera flash to trigger my sb-700, maybe I'll go the route and get some yonguo flash's so I could do OCF
