After a given exposure time, you have to overexpose to get the "right" exposure.
(Extremely short exposures also need compensation.)

Bulk loading film is definitely very easy and makes it much cheaper to supply yourself with film.

The other money suck involved in film photography, of course, is the developing. You can cut down on those by asking the lab to only develop and scan - no prints. Then you can sort through them on the computer and figure out which ones you might want to print.

You could also save a lot of money in the long term by developing your own b&w film, but that would require an initial investment of a few hundred dollars to get set up with a developing tank, chemicals, random paraphernalia (a way to hang the film, sleeves for the negatives...), and a film scanner (this last would be the largest expense). Once you get past that initial outlay of money, the long term costs definitely go down.

Really ? Very good, but I thought you do it for long time.

Been wanting to do it for a long time, but only finally got around to it very recently I don't know what took me so long!

I love slide film and am partial to Kodak E100G. A little hard to find now but its out there.

I use Ilford 400 Silver for b & w and Kodak 400 for colour

Always recommend buying film from kodak stores that is out of date and such as they will sell it for around 90% cheaper, I bought boxes and boxes of film around 2 years ago and it is all still processing fine.. the stuff i left in the shade under my bed anyway! the three rolls of film i left on the radiator were interesting to look at to say the least !
