New Kodak Film:

Has anyone seen the new Kodak ULTRA film yet? It hasn't showed up around me yet.

Pretty much the Kodak Portra UC repackaged... they replaced the 160 with 100 and kept the 400. I like the film a lot. Has almost a 70's fashion look to it.

Kodak sent me three rolls of their Ultra film. I havent had the time to use them yet.. I might play around with it this weekend and next week since the RNC will be in town. Then again maybe I shouldnt... why waste my film on people like them. HAHAHAH!!!!

I tried it and I thought the skin tones were too red from this film for my taste

I'd really like to know how you got Kodak to just send you film??? I'd REEEAAALLY like to be set up with a deal like that! Ha ha!

Glen - how would you compare it to PortraNC? I've not played with PortraVC.

Portra NC is my favorite color print film for great skin tones, I've tried VC and Ultra, but I like NC the best. The thing with print film is there is the color judgment of the printer to factor into the end results.

Well according to kodak the new ultra is supposed to scan very well (the negative that is)

I don't judge a film based on a print. I think all 3 portras (well ultra is no longer portra) have excellent skin tones. I'm a fuji guy on everything else though.
