New Lens Nikkor 35mm f/1.8, C&C

Hey guys, I bought a new lens yesterday. I heard really good things about the DX Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G so I picked one up. Here are a few shots I took with it. As always C&C is appreciated, thanks!


1. f/1.8 1/200 ISO-100 with flash

2. f/9 9 sec. ISO-100 - How can I avoid those red/green/blue streaks in the top right?

3. f/2.8 1/500 ISO-100

I love this lens, so sharp you could shave with that baby.
Number 2 you need a lens hood to stop that, and make sure any protective filters are taken off (such as UV etc). You've got a nice view there I just feel the composition isn't spot on, the high rises are great but the foreground is fairly dull. Something feels off about the exposure, it looks over exposed yet not exposed enough if you get me? haha sorry not much use!
I like the others though
