Bought an EF 50mm F1.8 on Friday!

These are test shots more or less as I haven't had time to get out and have a propper play with it yet but give me time and i'll start posting up some real images soon.

Hey LOOK! Thirsty Merc!! hahahaha. I figured out who they were by the way. I didn't realise it was one of the bands that won Unearthed.

As in too shallow? Or just adjusting to the wide aperature?

Bit of both, i've come from a Canon Powershot S45 so Super-Shallow DOF is new to me but i've got a fair idea of how to control it.

Wide depth of field (lots in focus) = small aperture/large f-number
Narrow depth of field (not much in focus) = large aperture/small f-number.

I think you already know this, but it'll help explain to some newbies looking through here why your photos here have such a narrow depth of field.
