The only one I REALLY love is the second last one due to its multiple framings. The highlight frames the window, the window frames the sky. I like the sharpness and texture, and character and feel of it. The others are okay. The Happy Spring window one would be awesome in my opinion if the writing were in a bit more focus, and the first one on the lamp would be cool if it offered something more... More of a narrative or something. As it stands it's just okay. The others I could leave, but wonder what you all think.

Honestly non of these really do anything for me, sorry. #1 is underexposed, #2 is just to dark. #3 is just a snapshot of a window. I can't seem to find anything that is in Focus in #4. I agree with you that #5 is the strongest of the bunch. And #6 I don't like the composition of.

C'mon! #3 is close to being great! It really captures the essence of spring in my opinion. Yeah it's "just a window" but it's got a cool background, pleasant lighting, and cool drawings. I think if the text was in focus it would be my second favourite one. lol thanks for the feedback though.

If I drew the same thing on a piece of paper would it show the essence of sping? To me spring it the sight of green grass showing up, flowers growing, and people out and about for the first few times after a long cold winter.

Hmm... I don't think it would. I think the light at the sharp angle helps set the tone of the image. Upon further reflection though I think that yes, it would greatly benefit from some flowers on the windowsill. Still like it though lol. I guess to each their own. I agree with your other comments though.

Upon even further reflection, while I like the background I think that it would benefit from more springiness. There's always something you can do to make a shot nicer, but I still like it for the most part.

Nice effort, but I agree that none of them do anything for me. Poor focus on most, poor composition, and rather dull subject matter. I do not say this to be mean, I am just being straight to the point so no need to try and defend yourself. Just because the word "Spring" is in #3, does not mean it embodies spring. The grimy window and all of the crap OTHER than the word "spring" that is written there distracts from paying any attention to the reflection ( which isn't very great either mind you ). Its a great idea and concept, why not try re-creating this on a window that is reflecting something more spring-ish? 4 and 6 seem to be the worst. Bad focus, extremely screwy subject matter. Its as if you think a wierd angle or focus automatically makes some lackluster thing art. #2 is slightly crooked and there is not enough shape detail in the silhouette to really give impact to the sunset. The car in the bottom left also doesn't help it. Personally I think that #5 has the most potential with some better lighting, better composition and maybe a few more elements to tie into the painting theme. Perhaps more of the room in the background half-painted, or some of the window sill painted as to show the point of the composition. Even without the added elements though and better lighting and framing, it could be a decent shot. You are new here so welcome. Do not take offense to people helping you. There is nothing worse than someone posting for comments but not being able to accept that their images aren't as great as they thought. We have all been there and its experiences like this that help your eyes to see in a different way. I look back at my old shots that I thought were so deep and artsy and laugh.

No sir, I really appreciate the feedback and am definitely listening. I was not offended in the slightest. I'm just learning, I'll get there. I think I have potential.

C'mon! #3 is close to being great! It really captures the essence of spring in my opinion.

What is the goal of your photography?
By that I mean, are yoou shooting with the idea of "fine art" prints hanging on a wall?

No real goal. I guess it's to create visually interesting shots. Maybe I should focus my goal.

Well it's good that you are really trying to have some intent, or trying to get a message across with your imagery. I often recommend people study composition theory, but I forget that people should also learn how imagery, typeforms, symbols, color, and form help get a message across, either subtly or dramatically. Keep shootin' and learnin'!

I didn't like the first one at first glance, but when I saw the reflections in it I was drawn in to it more.

The window doesn't really work for me because of the reflections (irony after the first one) it seems a bit crowded.

The second to last is also my favorite. I know a lot of people dislike the darker pictures, but I like the moodiness it implies.
