New to Photography, bought NEX-5 - any tips would be great!

HELLO,

Ive recently upgraded from my compact Casio EX-LIM S6000 and bought a Sony Nex-5

The thing is, I don't feel like I can get the best out of this new camera - you see lots of professional looking photo's kicking around on lesser camera's and I don't seem to be able to get it!

Ive posted a few photo's on my profile, so any opinions and/or inspirational ideas would be a great help!!

Just because you have a somewhat expensive camera (not even a DSLR) doesn't mean your pictures will be "pro" quality. obviously photography is a skill not just holding a camera and hitting a button. learn about photography. Composition, lighting, angles, technical aspects of a camera, exposure, i mean the list goes on.....
