Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
Colorful Florida Shots

With the exception of a short class back in high school, I am fairly new to photography. I don't do my own developing (yet) and all of these were developed, printed/mounted, and scanned by the wonderful folks at Dale Laboratories in Hollywood, Florida. I did not edit these in any way, they are the original scans. These were a few of the better shots I've taken over the last year or so. Film photography is an on-and-off hobby for me, and is by no means a profession or source of income, so please don't be overly harsh with any criticism. :blushing:

Camera: Nikon FM2(N) (Thanks to eBay.)
Lenses: 28mm f/3.5, 50mm f/2, and 70-210mm f/4 (Isn't eBay just fantastic?)

1
Film used: Fujifilm Superia X-tra 400
Story behind this picture: Used the 400-speed film for indoor shots of eBay items and needed to waste the last few frames before getting the film developed. Not happy about the graininess of this film and may stick to 100-speed in the future.

2
Film: Fujifilm Velvia 100
Story behind this picture: I went out shooting, happy about a new (to me) lens I had purchased. I didn't even know there was a forest fire that day, but I read about it on a news site after I took this. I was well out of harms way;
it was actually fairly distant.

3 and 4
Film: Kodak Ektar 100
Story behind these pictures: Same location as 2, but on a different day. There isn't anything interesting about the circumstances; I just felt like taking some pictures that day.

For the first 3, each has a crooked horizon. For the 4th, the sky is blown and again, it appears titled.
Colors are great and you have to expect some grain in film. In the first there is what appears to be a rain cloud that almost looks like someone set off a nuclear explosion in the difference. That's kinda cool.

The first image is not interesting enough for me. The last could have use a bit more zoom. Horizon is slightly tilted. I really like the vibrance and colours. Good job.

I really wanted more zoom on that last shot too, but I couldn't get closer and I had my 70-210mm lens zoomed all the way in. I've been considering possibly obtaining a 300mm lens at some point, but for now I'm working with what I have.
