New to photography From North Tyneside UK

Hi all found this forum while searching google on how to get started in Photography, seems a really helpful place so thought I would join.

I have zero knowledge about Photography or Cameras, but I am hoping joining a forum like this will get me on my way, Photography seems like such a rewarding hobby and I am keen to learn.

I just bought my first camera this weekend a cannon 40d and taken my first few photos, out of 50 or so shots only 4 were worth while keeping, so I have tons to learn!

Your keeper average is about right. Many newbies have a difficult time tossing that 90% of non-keepers.
