its clear that you used an on camera flash in the first picture.. its very harsh

Second one might have been neat if composed differently (more of an angle... perhaps down the length of the fender(?), but you really need to turn off the date stamp. On-camera flash is generally considered a bad idea for most shots- as Chris said- harsh shadows and reflections and such.
